Is Edmonton Alberta worth visiting?
Edmonton Alberta is Canada’s northernmost major city. With a population of over 1 million, it’s consequently the 2nd largest city in Alberta. The city of Calgary has the largest population at over 1.6 million.
Based on our experience, Edmontonians don’t think of their city as a tourist destination. They’re often surprised people travel to visit here. That’s okay though, it’s truly part of the charm. The city is a mix of nature lovers, sports fanatics, and lots of families just living their best life in a still affordable economy compared to many other parts of Canada. You’ll find wide open places, and busy spaces too, so something for everyone.
Our advice would be to choose the time of year you want to visit first, then look for activities for that time of the year. To assist you in planning, our Edmonton Alberta travel tips guide offers various fun activities and ideas for all seasons!
